Avenir accessories

February 13, 2008

While getting the yoof to put things on their phones can be tricky, getting them to put their phone inside things is a lot easier. The phone accessory market is big business and Avenir are covering all bases. This funky children’s range of holders, feature well known regional cartoon characters. There’s a range done in bright coloured vinyl and leather and sleeves shaped like surfboards. It’s great fun and the buzz around the stand is a clear indication that fashion often comes before functionality with our irrepressible yoof, God bless em.

Bubbletalk

What’s that you say, big in the yoof market? Fancy that. This app takes up the niche mass middle ground between not really wanting to leave a long voicemail, but not wanting to sms either. You can leave a ‘bubble’ or extended vmail that someone gets notified by sms about and can listen and respond to at their leisure.

I was not aware of this middle ground but i am not a yoof, so what do i kno.

Zlango

Ah the Yoof, what would we do without them? Whitney believed that they were our future and i suspect a lot of people at the MWC are relying on this dubious claim.

Zlango have created an entire language of groovy glyphs, in the hope the yoof will snatch em up and start frantically talking zlango to each other. Good luck to them, the yoof are notoriously fickle. That said, they also kant spel, so maybe pictograms are the way forward.
